Dan Lauria is an American actor who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, United States. He is famously known for playing the role of Jack Arnold in The Wonder Years 1988 series. Dan was born as the son of a New York couple where he also graduated from Lindenhurst Senior High School in 1965 as a varsity football player.

Before acting, Dan served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He then served as a platoon commander at An Loc in Vietnam near the Cambodian border. Dan made his first acting debut while he was still a student at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut.
