American singer and songwriter, Demi Lovato, 31 is now in a relationship with musician, Jordan Rutes. He is 32 and nearly her age. She is in a happy space with her partner and told on The Howard Stern Show that it was gross that earlier she had dated older men.

Demi Lovato recalls her past relationships with older men

American singer and songwriter, Demi Lovato is 31 now. When she was younger, she had relationships with older men. She spoke about it on The Howard Stern Show. She was referring to Wilmer Valderrama who was 13 years older to her. Demi said:

“I can say with confidence that my daddy issues aren’t anything that are inside of me anymore,”

“I think there’s a few signs to that. I’m with a partner that is my age, essentially. I look back on the past (of dating older men) and think ‘that’s gross”

Her current boyfriend is Canadian musician Jordan Rutes. He is 32 and the two met during the making of her album ‘Holy Fvck’. Jordan was a co-writer of several songs of her album. Demi had disclosed that she was immediately attracted to him. She said:

“He came in to write on one of my sessions and I was in the studio and was immediately attracted to him. I like texted my friends on the side and was like, ‘He’s so hot!’ ”

The happy relationship with Jordan

Demi is immensely in love with Jordan and said on the show that she wants to one day marry him and also wants to bear children with him. She gushed about Jordan saying:

“There’s this partnership there that is just so magnetic, and the way that we laugh together. It’s just non-stop. I think if you can find someone that makes you feel safe, that you’re so attracted to, that you laugh with constantly, that’s the formula of a really great relationship,”

In August 2022, on one of the episodes of her Call Her Daddy podcast, Demi had warned young girls against dating older men:

“If you’re a young girl and you think that it’s sexy or fun to date older men, it’s not OK unless you’re of age,”
