Sasha Dindayal, also known as Sasha Gates is Antonio Gates’ wife of 12 years. While her fame may be attached to her husband’s career as a 3x First-team All-Pro NFL player with a playing career with San Diego and Los Angeles Chargers, she has a thriving career in different sectors. She is a former Trinidadian-Canadian model, actress, and reality TV star known for WAGS.

Life of Sasha Before Fame 

Sasha Dindayal was born in Canada by Trinidadian parents, Bernadette Philbert (mother) and a father, Keith Dindayal.

While most details about her family may be sketchy, her uncle, Ian Atherly, is the former Mayor of San Fernando.

She grew up in California, a State that is more than 2,000 miles away from Detroit – a town where her husband Antonio Gates was born on June 18, 1989, and also lived his earliest life.

Dindayal has been in the entertainment industry since the 1990s as a model, actress, and video vixen.

As a model, one of her most renowned works is appearing on the cover of Smooth Girl. She was also named as the XXL’s Eye Candy of the Month in August 2001.  Although she may have had several other modeling gigs, she later left the career to focus on other things.

Still, in relation to her career and rise to fame away from her spouse, Sasha served as an accomplished video vixen. She featured in David Banner’s music video, Play. She also appeared in Choclair’s Rubbin. 

In 1999, she featured in a film, My Father’s Hands where she played Melissa. The same year, she also played Leila in All Things Fare.

In 2000, she served as a judge in Soul Food.

Even after meeting her husband, she continued with her acting career. In 2018, she acted as Kelly in Kinky. 

More to her career, she is a reality TV star WAGS LA (2015-16).  She has also appeared in several other TV series such as Gardens Poker Night (2018), 4 the Love Sessions (2017), Home & Family (2016), and Hollywood Today Live (2016).
