Famous American actress Michelle Monaghan’s parents, Sharon Hamel and Robert L. Monaghan, shaped her upbringing in a small-town environment in Winthrop, Iowa.

Born on March 23, 1976, the actress’s mother ran a daycare center while her father worked as both a factory worker and a farmer. During an interview with Josh Gad for Interview Magazine, she shed light on the impactful lessons she learned from her parents. 

Gad reminisced about the unique terminology Michelle’s mom used, such as the term “hightail,” expressing regret that his mother hadn’t employed such language.
