Some people rise to fame and vanish after a few years. On the other hand, some people become examples in society even after their death. Brandon Tartikoff was a well-known American television executive who was the president of NBC from 1980 to 1991.

Brandon Tartikoff was born on January 13, 1949, in Freeport, New York. Brandon is the son of Jordan Tartikoff and his wife, Enid Tartikoff. Nothing much about his parent's profession is known to the public. Brandon was a graduate of the Lawrenceville School and Yale University, where he contributed to campus humor magazine The Yale Record.

Brandon Tartikoff passed on August 17, 1997, at age 48 in Los Angeles, California. He was suffering from Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer. The cause of his death mentioned it to be cancer. He was interred in Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.

On August 29, 1997, Dateline NBC ran an extended tribute to Tartikoff, which featured many famous figures whose careers he had influenced, including Warren Littlefield, Dick Ebersol, Bill Cosby, Michael J. Fox, Ted Danson, and Jerry Seinfeld.

Brandon was married to his longtime girlfriend, Lilly Samuels. The duo tied their wedding knot in 1982. They had a private wedding ceremony where only a few members from both the families and some close friends attended the ceremony. 

Brandon and Lilly had been dating for sometime before tying their wedding knot. The duo was very much supportive of each other. Lilly is also a American activist, socialite, restaurateur, and breast cancer fundraiser. Another celebrity, Molly Shattuck is also a Socialite and Formar cheer.

This Happy relationship ended in 1997 after the death of Brandon. Lilly remained single for more than a decade and then found love with Bruce Karatz. She walked down the wedding aisle in 2009 in front of her children.
