Early Life and Education

Lizzy Musi was born on January 1, 1991, in Carteret, New Jersey. She is the daughter of Pat Musi, a legendary racing driver and engine builder, and Elizabeth Agneta Musi, a Swedish-American woman. Lizzy has a younger sister named Patricia, who was also named after their father.

Lizzy grew up in a family of racers, and developed a passion for cars and engines from an early age. She began racing at the age of 8. She participated in the junior dragster and raised in the sports through the rank. She did her last competitive action in Junior Drag at the age of 16.

As for her formal education, she attended Carteret High School. After completing high school, she worked around her father’s shop starting sweeping floors and cleaning parts. There she gained surface knowledge of motor parts, but more importantly, she got a mentor on her father who would guide her on racing as well as teach her ethics needed to become a successful person.

She moved to Mooresville, N.C at the age of 22 in late 2012, after her father relocated his engine and associated business from New Jersey to North Carolina.
